Acupanel® Luxe Plus Walnut Fire-Rated Acoustic Wood Wall Panels

The Acupanel^® Luxe Plus Fire-Rated Walnut Acoustic Slat Wall Panel is a wide-format, fire-rated slat panel built for commercial interiors. Fire compliance, acoustic performance, and finished presence, in a single specification.

The Luxe Plus Fire-Rated builds on the standard Acupanel^® Fire-Rated range, with a wider slat format and redesigned spacing. Ten slats across the panel give the wall a bolder, more architectural read than the standard profile. The adjusted spacing was developed specifically for the Acupanel^® Glow LED Lighting range, so the panel works as an integrated lighting system, not just a surface finish.

Complementing our existing Fire-Rated range, this panel achieves a B-s2, d0 rating against BS EN 13501-1 Reaction to Fire testing. Installed to the full specification, the panels also achieve a Class A acoustic rating, reducing echo and reverberation across the space. Slats are fully wrapped in genuine walnut veneer, the same specification used across the Acupanel^® range. The finish carries the depth, grain, and warmth of real wood, with no compromise to fire performance.

The Luxe Plus Fire-Rated suits commercial interiors that ask for performance and presence in the same brief. Hotel lobbies, hospitality venues, corporate offices, retail spaces, and multi-residential developments. Whether the install is a feature wall, full-room, or ceiling, the panel meets the brief on both compliance and finish.

The Acupanel^® Luxe Plus range has been designed to be installed with ease. To achieve the full B-s2, d0 fire rating and Class A acoustic rating, install panels on a gypsum plasterboard substrate rated A1 or A2 to BS EN 13501-1, with 45mm battens and acoustic insulation material. Leave no air gap.

If installing for fire-rating benefits only, the 45mm battens and acoustic insulation are not required. Install straight onto a suitable substrate, with no air gap. Valid for vertical and horizontal slat installations.

Do not apply paints or finishes to the panel. Doing so invalidates the fire rating.

When cutting your panels, it's important to check where you are cutting in relation to the backing staples. If you cut the panels close to the staples, you may notice some slats lifting away from the backing where the panel has been cut. This is completely normal and can be quickly rectified by adding additional staples through the backing felt or using a grab adhesive on the back of the slats.
